Mango road trip! I'm going on a book tour
From mango sangria and Michelin-rated Filipino food, to events across Florida and the U.S. — "The Mango Tree" and I are going on tour.
The mangoes, my friends, are about to hit the road. To celebrate the April 2 launch of “The Mango Tree,” I’m heading on a BOOK TOUR! I’ll be reading mango snippets and conversing with amazing writers at local bookshops and literary events in Florida, Georgia, Los Angeles, and (eek!) Washington D.C.
To kick things off, we’re throwing a juicy-sweet party right here in my backyard. Please join me April 2 at Palace Pub & Wine Bar in Cape Coral for what I can only humbly describe as the best night of your life.
Here are eight reasons why:
Mango sangria crafted by Palace Pub themselves, along with natural wines and lots of bubbly
NA mango bevvies from Gather Beverage Co. (that’s my seester!)
Filipino eats for sale from the Michelin-rated Estrellita out of Atlanta (Fellow half-Filip/Fort Myers native Hope Webb is bringing her and Chef Walter’s award-winning Filipino food to our collective hometown *just* for this event!)
WGCU’s Cary Barbor will be hosting and recording a live episode of her Gulf Coast Life Book Club series
I’ll be signing books (secure an early book with your ticket or onsite from Sanibel’s newly reopened MacIntosh Books)
Proceeds benefit Florida’s own Kitchen Table Literary Arts to boost their mission of supporting women writers of color in the Sunshine State
Fun giveaways
And because the oh-so talented Joshua Noom, another Fort Myersian, created this cool graphic (can you spy the BB pellets?):
Tickets for the Palace Pub/WGCU/MacIntosh Books launch party start at $12 and are on sale now (get yours ASAP, they are going unexpectedly quickly). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., my conversation with Cary starts at 6:30, and then it’s book signings, beverages, Filipino food and mango merriment galore!
If you can’t make it to the April 2 party, or if you simply want more mangoes — I got you. I’ll be taking this tree on the road with some of the most amazingly talented copilots/convo partners a writer could dare imagine.

If you live in or near any of these cities, or if you know anyone in/near any of these cities, then please come out and bring all your friends (I’m not begging, but I’m not not-begging :)). I am a strong, confident, independent author. I am also deathly afraid of speaking to empty rows of folding chairs.
And if you haven’t yet preordered a book or five, might as well do so now. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, forever and ever, thank you.
Can't wait to catch a couple of these events 🫶🏼
I’m so stoked for the launch party at Palace.
